From April 4 to April 23, Smolensk hosts the international exhibition PHOTOPROJECT-2014, among the participants of which are Sumy photo artists.
The organizers did not set a special topic, but set themselves the task of bringing together photographers from different countries, stimulating the exchange of experience and, thus, also helping young and talented authors to express themselves.
“Photoproject-2014 has no concept, no common theme, and it is impossible to form any general impression about it. This is a set of completely different works dedicated to completely different things, made in different moods and different techniques. The exhibition cannot be called a classic, and it is not innovative either, “- this is how the head of the regional branch of the Union of Photographers of the Russian Federation Igor Chernov describes the exhibition.

In total, well-known and novice photo artists from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Germany, Bulgaria presented 230 works to the audience, combining them into 36 series.
Sumy presented by:
Elena Almazova — with an outrageous series“Memories”,an important part of which are poetic author’s epigraphs.
And Natalia Govorukhina, with a series of 11 exquisite works of her famous series “Escapeing Light”.
